First stop - Moscow!

Well here comes the first problem! Which way to go to Moscow? We can go various ways by train, but working your way through Europe is expensive and an extra transit visa is required to go through Belarus, so more unnecessary expense, just to go on the train through the country. We can go through Europe at any time so feel that we may start our trip by flying to Moscow. This will save us money, probably quite a great deal of money and enable us to spend more time in places that we are unlikely to visit again. Is that defeating the object? Well we shall see!
We have been to Moscow before, but want to give it another go, so will probably spend a couple of days there before catching our first train. I think one of my biggest thrills was to stand at the corner of the Kremlin. I just couldn't believe I was there, something I had dreamed about from being a young girl. I would like to make the dream I was in last time into more of a reality and appreciate all I saw. I know I didn't take it in before. I want to do that this time.
